Published: April 29, 2026

Thailand temples Bangkok

Thailand is bigger than it looks on the map, and its three most popular regions couldn't be more different. This 10-day itinerary connects Bangkok's royal temples and sky-high malls, Chiang Mai's moated old town and elephant sanctuaries, and Phuket's Andaman beaches — the perfect introduction to Thailand.

Chiang Mai Moated old town, cafés, slow pace 3

Why not 7 days? You'll spend too much time in transit, rush through temples, and only get one real beach day.
